Rallye Adventures

Jaguar MK1 from 1957

A car with an eventful history - in racing and even more so in rallying.

Its stint at the 1999 Carrera Panamericana lasted just two days and was ended by a free fall and near-total damage. The driver and co-driver escaped with bruises and contusions, but the Jaguar, whose front end was destroyed in the accident, fared worse.

Back in Germany, the car was extensively rebuilt and sold to the current owner - against all commercial reason and out of sentimental emotion.

Over the past 15 years, the MK1 has been on the road at a number of racing and rally events with significantly less wear and tear - including four further appearances at the Carrera Panamericana, where it even achieved an overall victory in the "Historic Class". He also competed in the Tour Auto France, the Modena Cento Ore Classic in Italy and the Classic Safari Africa, for example, where he celebrated various class victories. The next planned outing is in New Zealand.

Abarth 205 from 1950

This is the first of three vehicles that Carlo Abarth built with a Vignale body.

The sports car took part in "period" races at the Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio in 1950 and subsequently in circuit and hill climb races in Europe. In the mid-fifties, the Abarth was sold to the USA and took part in various races in California.

The current owner bought the car with engine damage in a partially dismantled state and had the vehicle completely rebuilt by us at great technical expense. The 2016 Mille Miglia went off without a hitch.
